Michele Markey, the owner of Medina  Domestic Arts Studio, retired from over 30 years in the oil and gas  industry to start her own quilting business and subsequently added an embroidery sideline.   After quilting for  the public since 2008 she fell in love with fabric painting on embroidered blocks.  Michele now teaches fabric painting classes and does trunk shows as both educator and vendor.

At  Medina Domestic Arts Studio we use over 35 years of sewing and quilting  experience to provide quality custom embroidery and quilting.  We have two Melco Bravo 16 needle embroidery machines and a computerized Innova long arm.  All kits are stitched on these machines.  
 

 Speaking of art, we have discovered a fantastic  way to embellish and decorate quilts - fabric painting!  With the  popularity of adult coloring books we have taken coloring to a new level  by coloring directly onto fabric and quilted blocks!  Check out our  classes section for the next fun coloring class available at your local  quilt shop or quilt guild!  It's easy and fun!
