This is the recommended class that everyone should take first before tackling one of the fabric painting kit classes. Here is the best part of this class: you just show up! Michele will provide a block and a coloring box full of her tools. You will learn several basic techniques on how to color on fabric as well as how to bling your block (if you so choose). When the class is done you will have a beautiful block to use in a quilt, pillow or on a bag! Available 101 Classes can be found in the catalog listed below.
You can check out videos that have been made for this and other classes under How To Videos which has a link to all my YouTube videos. In fact, many of the kits can be done in the comfort of your own home with help from the online videos and instructions available on this website!
Kit Classes from Embroidery Patterns
Fabric Painting 101 Class - $45.00 to $65.00

In each class students are provided with a complete kit that includes the following: a stitched-out block or design
(please see the downloadable Catalog below for available kits and prices); all the necessary coloring tools such as colored pencils, watercolors, Inktense Pencils, fabric markers, fabric paint (depending on the design); fabric medium; paint brushes; paint tray; and painting instructions. Students will learn to paint and blend colors on fabric using a variety of techniques. Prices for each kit are listed in the catalog.
Classes are usually 4 to 6 hours depending on the complexity of the pattern. Students can usually get through about half of the coloring in class but will learn all necessary techniques in class to finish the project at home.

1. Classes require payment at time of reservation with a credit/debit card. If you cancel your reservation a 50% cancellation fee will be applied.
2. Minimum class size is 8 and maximum is 20.
3. Painting 101 Class fees depend on block chosen. See class catalog below for choices.
4. If travel is required beyond 1.5 hours from home, then additional travel expenses will be included in fee. I usually travel by car and if traveliing long distance, with my RV.

Want to see a demo and get inspiration from finished works of art? Schedule a lecture and/or Trunk Show. Michele will bring a bevy of textile art works to show as well a demo on how to paint/color on fabric. Lecture fees are $375 plus applicable travel expenses for locations outside 1.5 hours of Medina Texas.
